KUALA LUMPUR, 11 July – The Malaysian Hockey Confederation has once again deferred naming their new women’s hockey coach and will now be probably named on Monday.
MHC deputy president, Prof Dato Dr. S. Shamala said, the new coach is expected to be named after the MHC executive board meeting.
Malaysia’s former national goalkeeper, Nasihin Nubli is one of the four candidates shortlisted for the job left vacant following the departure of Dharmaraj Abdullah at the end of last year when his contract expired.
The other three candidates shortlisted are foreigners.
This is not the first time MHC has deferred naming the new national women’s hockey coach.
The coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has been blamed for the delay.
