JDT FLIGHT TO DOHA GROUNDED – THANKS TO COVID-19

0
JOHOR BAHRU, 11 Nov – It is a bitter blow to seven-time Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) when the government said the team will not be allowed to leave the shores for their AFC Champions League matches in Doha, Qatar later this month.
Senior Minister,  Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob delivered the “killer blow” during his daily media briefing during question time which stunned many.
This is the second blow for football in the country coming within days when the same minister announced that the Malaysia Cup has been told to take a break due to Covid-19.
JDT, winners of the AFC Cup in 2015 – the only Malaysian team to have achieved that – are in Group G and currently second in the table with three points from one win and one defeat after two matches.
The remaining matches are to be played in Doha with the Southern Tigers scheduled to face Guangzhou Evergrande on Nov 19, followed by a match against Suwon Bluewings (Nov 25), Vissel Kobe (Dec 1), and complete their fixtures against Guangzhou (Dec 4).
”Adhering to the SOP laid down by the government, JDT is barred from leaving the country. The ruling is still in force and as such the team (JDT) is barred from going to Doha. It is a no go for JDT,” said Ismail who also announced that the authorities have also shot down the appeal by the Malaysian Football League and the FA of Malaysia to make some leeway for the remaining Malaysia Cup matches be completed.
The Malaysia Cup is at the quarter-final stage -with JDT battling Kuala Lumpur, Kedah playing Selangor, Penang versus UiTM, and Perak against Terengganu – in the fight for a place in the last four.

MALAYSIA CUP ON COVID-19 ‘VENTILATOR’

0
KUALA LUMPUR, 10 Nov – The region’s oldest football competition – the Malaysia Cup  which is into its 94th edition this year – is virtually on ”life support” after the National Security Council (NSC) postponed it indefinitely due to the rising Coronavirus cases in the country.
While the Malaysian Football League (MFL) has appealed to the respective authorities to let the competition, which has reached the quarter-final stage, the indefinite postponement came out of the blue.
The leagues were completed under strict SOP and the Malaysia Cup is also under strict SOP and it was smooth going so far with everyone playing their role to ensure the safety and health of those involved.
Everyday we are sure of getting unexpected “shocks” from the daily press conference from Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who delivered the jolt on Saturday.
More often than not it is something new today and it will be something new tomorrow on the same topic from the veteran politician. This is confusing the people.
Do not make a blanket ruling for the sake of imposing a new rule. The least the NSC and the Health Ministry should have done was to consult the relevant football authorities and worked out a win-win situation – more so when the football season is coming to a close.
This is the time when the contract of the players and coaches usually come to an end. Some contracts end in November and some in December.
Did anyone give a thought or spared a thought for the players and the coaches whose livelihood depends on football?
Do not forget that some teams used Covid-19 as a ”major cover-up” not to pay the salaries of the players and other team officials.
Covid-19 became and has become the most “abused” word by many parties to deny payment.
Pahang (Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan) and Kelantan (Sultan Muhammed IV Stadium, Kota Bahru) are two of the states that have been spared the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and the MFL has placed strict SOPs for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final to be played at the two said venues.
This is agreeable to all the teams that have reached the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals. Apart from the prestigious silverware, the champions will also get the ticket to the AFC Cup as the third team from Malaysia in the Asian meet.
For the record JDT has already qualified for the AFC Champions League as the Malaysian Super League champions while Kedah has qualified for the AFC Cup after finishing runners-up to JDT.
The quarter-final matches are between Johor Darul Takzim vs Kuala Lumpur; Kedah vs Selangor; Terengganu vs Perak and Penang vs UiTM.

AFC TECHNICAL COMMITTEE APPROVES ENHANCED GRASSROOTS CHARTER AND ELITE YOUTH SCHEME

0
KUALA LUMPUR, 9 Nov – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Technical Committee emphasised the importance of developing the next generation of Asian football players when it recommended an enhanced Grassroots Charter and the Elite Youth Scheme to the AFC Executive Committee’s next meeting.
The Committee also took important steps to protect as well as continue the improvement of the coaching standards in Asia by replacing the process of the AFC’s approval criteria of coaches at all levels of the game.
Chaired by Kohzo Tashima, the Technical Committee recognised the challenges that have been faced during the Covid-19 pandemic and the chairperson added: “The pandemic has disrupted many other planned football development events for the year, but with the spirit within us and through online activities, we shall overcome this temporary setback.
“Together we shall and with firm resolve, work for the continuous growth of football in Asia.”
Key to that growth is the development of young players from the grassroots and through to the Elite Youth Scheme.
As a key element of the AFC’s good governance, the Technical Committee approved the revise regulations and guidelines to ensure best practice is applied to this important level of the game.
To support this review, the AFC has also confirmed the specialised and expert panels which are responsible for the coach education, grassroots and elite youth football development activities, including the implementation and operation of the AFC Coaching Convention, AFC Grassroots Charter and the AFC Elite Youth Scheme.
The Committee also agreed to replace the Recognition of Experience and Current Competence for coaches, which was introduced in 2013 and to simplify the situation in order to protect the development of players, coaches, teams and the game throughout Asia.
The updated criteria will come into force in the next club licensing and Competitions regulations cycle.
During its meeting, the Committee also discussed a proposal for a review of the schedule of the current AFC Champions League season and this will also now be considered by the AFC Marketing Committee and the AFC Competitions Committee.
“As we move forward to the next decade, we have an opportunity to discuss the structure of the AFC Champions League season from a technical perspective. It is not easy, we understand, and we must also take into consideration the consequences in terms of organisation and commercial viability as well as our many stakeholders,” added Tashima in a statement today.

tahun 2020 juga ditangguhkan dan dibawa ke tahun
2022.

wakil Kerajaan Negeri Kelantan sebentar tadi.

UiTM KNOCK KELANTAN OUT, SELANGOR EDGE MELAKA

0
PETALING JAYA, 8 Nov – A gem of a goal from Arif Anwar – his second on the night,  powered rookies UiTM FC to a 3-2 win over Kelantan and a place in the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals at the Manjung Stadium in Perak on Sunday.
Arif scored with a bicycle kick in the 67th minute when he ran into space to intercept a long ball from Rabih Ayata to catch Kelantan keeper Fikri Che Soh by surprise on a night when the east coast team looked like snatching a win after drawing level to wipe out UiTM’s 2-0 lead.
That goal gave UiTM a 3-2 lead after a double strike by Danial Ashraf Abdullah in a space of three minutes breathed life into Kelantan. Danial struck in the 61st and 63rd minutes.
UiTM roared to a 2-0 lead when Arif opened scoring in the 13th minute before Rafie Mat Yaacob got the second in the 16 minutes.
The university side will next face Premier League champions Penang for a place in the semi-finals. Penang defeated Felda United 3-1 in the first round.
For Selangor it was a hard earned win on a soggy pitch which denied both teams scoring opportunities but the Red Giants took the lead through their Nigerian hitman Ifedayo Olusegun on 21 minutes.
Brazilian midfielder Sandro Mendonca made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute – planting left footed shot past Melaka United’s former national number one custodian Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.
However, Melaka fought back after the break and pulled one back through Nigerian striker Uche Agba three minutes after the restart. It gave Selangor some jitters as Melaka grew in confidence.
However, Melaka could not add to the tally and allowed Selangor to keep their Malaysia Cup mission alive in the country’s oldest football tournament.
Selangor has won the prestigious silverware 33 times.

“PENGOPERASIAN INSTITUSI PENDIDIKAN DI BAWAH KPM SERTA PEPERIKSAAN AWAM TAHUN 2020”

Dr.Radzi Jidin
TEKS UCAPAN

MENTERI KANAN PENDIDIKAN

DR. RADZI JIDIN

8 NOVEMBER 2020
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh & salam sejahtera,
Menteri Pendidikan, Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pendidikan
Malaysia dan Ketua Pengarah Pelajaran Malaysia.

Pengoperasian Sekolah untuk Baki Tahun 2020
4. KPM mengambil maklum pengumuman oleh Yang Berhormat
Menteri Kanan Pertahanan pada 7 November 2020 berhubung
pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB)
melibatkan seluruh negeri di Semenanjung Malaysia kecuali negeri
Kelantan, Pahang dan Perlis. Tempoh PKPB ini adalah selama
empat minggu bermula 9 November sehingga 6 Disember 2020.
Manakala PKPB di Sabah, Selangor serta Wilayah Persekutuan
Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya dan Labuan turut dilanjutkan sehingga
tarikh tersebut.
rantaian penularan jangkitan wabak COVID-19.
7. Sepanjang tempoh penutupan tersebut, pengajaran dan
pembelajaran akan tetap diteruskan secara Home-based Learning
mengikut kesesuaian guru dan murid. Pentadbir sekolah perlu
memastikan guru serta murid melaksanakan pengajaran dan
pembelajaran di rumah. Di sepanjang tempoh ini juga, guru perlu
kekal berada di stesen tempat bertugas masing-masing.
sama tetapi secara Home-based Learning mengikut kesesuaian
guru dan murid. Mereka akan kembali ke sekolah untuk sesi
pembelajaran secara bersemuka pada 8 Mac 2021.
10. Tentunya calon Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Vokasional
Malaysia (SVM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dan
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) tahun 2020 tertanya-tanya
12. Bagi membantu calon-calon peperiksaan awam tahun 2020
membuat persediaan secukupnya sebelum menduduki
14. Terdapat persoalan yang telah dibangkitkan mengenai kemasukan
murid ke sekolah khusus termasuk Sekolah Berasrama Penuh,
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama, Sekolah Menengah
Teknik, Kolej Vokasional dan Maktab Tentera Di Raja. Untuk
makluman, pelaksanaan Pentaksiran Kemasukan Sekolah Khusus
(PKSK) bagi Tingkatan Satu dan Tingkatan Empat ditangguhkan
kepada suatu tarikh yang akan dimaklumkan kelak.

penjaga agar terus mematuhi arahan Majlis Keselamatan Negara
(MKN) dan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) bagi
membendung penularan wabak COVID-19.
keadaan selamat.
Sekian, terima kasih.

LEANDRO ON FIRE AS PERAK WHIP KELANTAN UNITED 4-0

0
PETALING JAYA, 7 Nov – Kelantan United’s Malaysia Cup hopes disappeared into thin air at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh as Perak handed the Kelantan outfit a 4-0 in their first round Malaysia Cup match on Saturday.
Perak the Malaysia Cup champion in 2018 will now face Terengganu in the quarter-finals under the new format played on a knockout basis due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Terengganu who lost to Perak in the 2018 final, scraped through a 1-0 win against Petaling Jaya City FC at the Sultan Mizan Stadium in Gong Badak, Kuala Terengganu.
Uzbek midfielder, Sanjar Shaakhmedov capitalized on a poor pass by PJ City defender, Kim Bong Jin to slot home past goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz for the only goal of the match which was delayed for about 30 minutes due to a technical fault.
Brazilian midfielder, Leandro dos Santos single-handedly destroyed Kelantan United with a hattrick.
He got his first as early as the sixth minute and never looked back after that – firing another two in the 20th and 48th minutes respectively.
Careca completed the rout for Perak when he blasted the fourth goal in injury time on a night Perak coach Mehmet Durakovic was more than pleased with the overall performance of his team.
“Good score but it was not an easy match but I am pleased with the way my players responded and made full use of the opportunities that came our way,” said Mehmet who is well aware of the tough next match for a place in the last four.

PLAYERS MOVED OUT FROM THEIR COMFORT ZONE – MISBUN

0

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 Nov – Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Youth Development Director, Datuk Misbun Sidek once again expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the players who took part in the Play-off Round of the 100PLUS National Youth Ranking Challenge 2020 which ended at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara yesterday.

His conclusion came about after comparing the performances of the same set of players who had taken part in the 100PLUS National Youth Ranking Challenge 2020 held from October 12 to 16.

“I noticed that several players stood out in that they moved out of their comfort zone. Some of them did not do well at the last tournament in October. But this time, they showed a lot of determination and put up a much better game plan,” said Misbun.

“Overall, the quality of their matches was much better and I felt that their stamina and staying prowess are on the right path.”

Misbun added that, there seems to be a positive impact from having all these teenage players being ‘camped’ at the Malaysian Badminton Academy (ABM) due to the Covid-19 pandemic since last July.

The training modules and systems that were put in place by the coaching panel seems to be on the right track.

As Misbun had mentioned previously, the question of winning or losing was not the main focus as compared to the need of these young players to learn and build their charisma.

The Play-off Round of the 100PLUS National Youth Ranking Challenge 2020 took place at the Bukit Kiara from November 4 to 6 and was held behind closed doors.

A total of 24 players took part in this Play-off Round to determine their ranking in the national youth team.

This is the second internal competition organised by BAM after the Group Stage competition of the 100PLUS National Youth Ranking Challenge 2020 which took place from October 12 to 16.

MALAYSIA CUP JOURNEY BEGINS WITH WINS FOR JDT, KEDAH AND PENANG

0
PETALING JAYA, 7 Nov – It was heartbreak for Pahang in Alor Setar while defending champion, Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) struggled to a 1-0 win over newcomers Kuching FA in Larkin and newly-crowned Premier League champions Penang roared to a 3-1 win against Felda United at the City Stadium.
The drama was at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar where Pahang exited the Malaysia Cup through their own follies on a night when Dickson Nwakaeme muffed a penalty as the Elephants crashed to a 3-2 defeat to last year’s runners-up Kedah.
The Red Eagles swept to a 3-0 lead before the break but Pahang staged a fightback in the second-half – leaving coach Dollah Salleh a shattered man on the bench.
“We did not click in the first half…we gave away soft goals. When we ‘woke-up’ after the break, it was already too late to rectify the damage,” said Dollah who refused to be drawn into comments on Dickson’s missed penalty.
”This is football and such things happen in the game.”
Dickson sent his spot-kick crashing against the bar in the 79th minute when Pahang had pulled one back on 48 minutes through Muslim Ahmad via a header from a freekick by Nor Azam Azih.
Faizal Rani did score for Pahang in the 88th minute but it was too late for the Elephants but it was all in vain as Kedah rode on first-half strikes from Shakir Hamzah (17th), Kpah Sherman (36th), and Kipre Tchetche (44th).
Rookie Arif Aiman was the toast of the Southern Tigers at the Larkin Stadium when he netted the winner in the 19th minute to take the champions to the quarter-finals.
For Penang, it was another show of their arrival on the big scene when the Panthers outplayed Felda United with Anselmo Casagrande opening the floodgates after 37 minutes.
Felda did fight back to equalize through Nicolas Velez but Penang ruled with two more goals which came from Amer Azhar (62nd) and Lee Chang-Hoon (76th).
