DATO MANJIT IS JOHOR’S NEW HOCKEY SUPREMO

JOHOR BAHRU, 16 Oct – There is a change of leadership in the Johor Hockey Association (JHA) which will see Dato Manjit Majid Abdullah (seated center) helming the association for the next four years until 2024 when he won uncontested at the 36th Biennial General Meeting in Johor Bahru on Thursday.
Manjit, who has been the acting president since earlier this year, was the former deputy president 1. With Manjit’s election as the new president, former JHA deputy president 2 Dato Amran Ab Rahman was returned unopposed as the new deputy president 1 while Sallehuddin Safar was elected the new deputy president 2.
Ir Azhar Jaafar, Paramjit Singh, Sarwan Singh, and Azian Idayu Hamzah (women) were elected as the four vice-presidents for the new term.
The eight committee members elected were Murugan Nair, Fakaruddin Kadir, B. Shaji, Zainal Ayub, Wan Mod Nazrulazwan, Asrul Hassan, Ayu Malina Zainuddin, and Nor Azizah Ismail (women).
