KUALA LUMPUR, 10 July – The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM)
announced that motorsports organisers are now allowed to conduct racing activities
including club and national level championships starting from July 15 following the
announcement by National Security Council (MKN) today.

Following the good news as announced by Senior Minister, Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at a special press conference in Putrajaya today, MAM urges all motorsports organisers to submit their sporting regulations together with their planned calendar as soon as possible.

MAM will further display it’s general guideline for racing on the association’s website. The guideline is subject to the size and layout of each track.

“Our fight against Covid-19 is far from over. Hence, MAM expects all parties involved in
race organisation to continue to exercise precautionary measures which are put in
place by the Ministry of Health.

“All stakeholders’ active participation in keeping motorsports free of Covid-19 is paramount to us enjoying our sport. A joint responsibility approach is needed for all action during motorsports activities.

“MAM would like to thank Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for supporting the motion proposed by MAM to allow motorsports racing activities to resume,” said MAM in it’s statement today.
